Further to its communication of July 8, 2024 GME informs market participants of what set forth below.
In compliance with Regulation (EU) 2024/1106 amending Regulations (EU) No 1227/2011 and (EU) 2019/942 as regards improving the Union’s protection against market manipulation on the wholesale energy market (so-called REMIT), GME will unilaterally amend the Data Reporting Service Contract pursuant to REMIT. Such amendments have the purpose of eliminating from said contract the Data Reporting and Download services, i.e. the transmission to ACER of orders and transactions made by market participants in GME’s regulated markets, and the download of such orders and transactions by such participants, respectively.
In view of the above, in compliance with art. 9.1 of the Data Reporting Service Contract pursuant to REMIT that is currently in force with GME (“Contract”), such Contract shall remain valid and effective, starting from October 1, 2024, exclusively with regard to the External Data Upload service.
If a market participant does not intend to accept such amendments, he/she/it may withdraw from the Contract as set forth in art. 9.1 thereof.
