The amount of fees currently in force is:

  1. an access fee (on a one-time basis) of Euro 7,500.00;
  2. a yearly fixed fee of Euro 10,000.00;

B. for the MPE, a regressive variable fee defined as follows:

  1. initial exemption on the first 0.02 TWh of monthly traded electricity;
  2. a fee of 0.04 €/MWh for monthly traded electricity volumes exceeding the threshold of 0.02 TWh up to a maximum of 1 TWh;

  4. a fee of 0.02 €/MWhfor monthly traded electricity volumes exceeding the threshold of 10 TWh;

C. for the MTE, a variable fee of 0.01 € per MWh traded.

Beginning on 1 October 2024, for the services of reporting to ACER the data and information referred to in Article 8, para. 8.4 of the Electricity Market Rules, market participants will also pay:

D. a yearly fixed fee (OMPR ME) of Euro 300.00;

E. a variable fee (records-based fee), which is determined in compliance with Commission Decision (EU) 2020/2152 of 17 December 2020 and which depends on the number of records transmitted to ACER in the previous year.

This fee is calculated on the basis of the records of all the operations referred to in article 3, para. 1 a) of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1348/2014 that each market participant has carried out by relying on a specific Organised Marketplace (OMP). The amount of the records-based fee – determined for each year on the basis of the records transmitted to ACER in the previous year – is up- or down-adjusted by an amount equal to the difference between the latter and the records-based fee, as determined on the basis of the records actually transmitted to ACER in each year. The amount to be paid for this variable fee is calculated according to the ranges shown in the following table:

Number of records per RRM and per market participant with reference to data cluster 1 Yearly fee(Euro)
1 to 1,000 250.00
1,001 to 10,000 500.00
10,001 to 100,000 1,000.00
100,001 to 1,000.000 2,000.00
1,000.001 to 10,000,000 4,000.00
10,000,001 to 100,000,000 8,000.00
over 100,000,000 16,000.00

The records-based fee is calculated for each market participant under the criteria identified by the European Commission as indicated above, and charged to the same participant after adding VAT, where chargeable.
