Access to the electricity market IT system takes place through security procedures characterized by digital identification tools, smart cards, designed to guarantee authentication of the electronic signature and, therefore, the conclusion of gas purchase contracts. The digital certificate for market access can be issued by Agid-certified certification companies and must comply with the provisions of the DigitPA Resolution - Digit PA - N. 45 of 21 May 2009 as subsequently amended and supplemented (Commissioner Order ed 69-2010).

The market is managed by GME's market hall where all the computer equipment that allows the collection and management of transactions is installed, in conditions of maximum security.

MARKET SESSION

The market sessions take place at the times and according to the schedule indicated in Technical Rule n. 3 MPE.
MPEG sessions take place on weekdays, as specified below:

from 8.00 to 17.00 on D-2. If D-2 falls on a public holiday, the session will take place from 8.00 to 17.00 on the immediately preceding working day;
from 8.00 to 9.00 on D-1, only if that day is not a public holiday. Therefore, if day D is preceded by a public holiday, the trading session for the product with delivery in D will take place exclusively from 8.00 to 17.00 on the first working day before day D*

* On Friday, the following will be traded:

From 8 to 9 the products with delivery on Saturday
From 8 to 17, products with delivery on Sunday and products with delivery on Monday and Tuesday (the latter product will also be traded from 8.00 to 9.00 of the session that takes place on Monday).

The MTE sessions are held from Monday to Friday, from 09.00 to 17.30, except on the second to last open market day of each month, when the closing time of the session is brought forward to 14.00.
