PIP (INSIDE INFORMATION PLATFORM)
GME provides participants with a service for disclosure of inside information through a platform (PIP) for the publication of such information; on the PIP, participants can fulfil their obligations under the REMIT Regulation (Article 4).
This service also represents a valid tool to enable the competent authorities to monitor insider trading.
The PIP is compliant with ACER requirements for the service of disclosure of inside information (https://www.acer-remit.eu/portal/list-inside-platforms#).
Through the PIP, GME makes the following services available to participants:
a. uploading of inside information;
b. publication of inside information in the public section of the platform;
c. storage and possible downloading of published inside information.
Access to the PIP is open to all participants in the markets/platforms of GME, as well as to all participants active in other regulated wholesale energy markets and balancing markets, in order to promote the widest possible participation and ensure an efficient centralisation of the related information.
Registration with the PIP and use of the above services are offered by GME free of charge.
